What would it actually be like for a regular person living through a Zombie outbreak? Would they find hope and cling onto that hope, sure that help will arrive and the world will return to normal once the authorities regain control? Would they simply carry on existing, going from place to place, scavenging supplies and staying alive not really knowing why but knowing that they must not give in to the dead? Will they be driven mad, either by the bleakness of the situation or the endless moans of the living dead? What if they have already become infected, contracted the Zombie disease and are condemned to death in a matter of days?
These are the questions that fascinate me and provide plentiful opportunity for creativity. I'm going to write diaries based on these concepts, some the real experiences of characters I play in Zombie games and some completely made up. I won't always write the diary as myself and will endeavour to write as the person behind the diary would, developing something akin to what actors call range (and men in white coats call multiple personality disorder). It is definitely not going to be an easy job, the creation of meaningful, themed diaries will take considerable effort, so updates to this section will likely be more sporadic than for other sections.
Each diary consists of a series of entries, the number depending on how many I want to write (or, in the case of a game, how long I can survive for). The diaries in the centre panel state if they are complete - no new entries are coming - or still in progress. Whatever the answer, click on that diary to see all the entries in a nicely formatted table.
Got an idea for a new diary? Worried about my sanity? Break quarantine and sneak over to the Contact page to give me the lowdown.
