This video does not actually contain any Zombies (the humanity!) - it just alludes to them. You see, the guys over at the Residence of Evil YouTube channel have teamed up with the creator of Resident Evil fan-film Dave (the wonderful short by the director originally penned to helm a RE TV show) to produce a brand-new fan-film called The Keeper. In RE lore, 'the keeper' was the moniker given to the Umbrella employee who was tasked with feeding the Cerberus creatures - a group of gigantic, controllable "zombie dog" bioweapons developed for use by Umbrella USA, a subsidiary of the main organisation. However, 'the keeper' became infected with the t-virus after its deliberate release during the events of Resident Evil 0 and, ever the scientist, he kept a brief diary of his actions in the following days, charting the inevitable breakdown of his mental, and physical, health. He noted swellings and blisters, both uncomfortably itchy, eventually causing rotted skin to fall from his body upon trying to scratch them. During the latter stages of his decline, he wrote about murdering a former colleague because he had an "ugly face" and proceeding to eat the corpse due to it looking "tasty". The diary ends with two chilling words: "Itchy. Tasty.".
