Live-action Dying Light
DESCRIPTION:
A filmmaker from the company Ampisound was hired to bring scenes from the radical Zombie game, Dying Light, to life. If you don't know (and you really, really should) Dying Light involves a lot of parkour and freerunning - jumping from building to building, climbing pipes, scrambling over roofs and so on. It also, as is natural for great games, involves Zombies - hordes and hordes of Zombies. This story-less short, filmed in Cambridge, gives a thrilling first person perspective of a high-climbing freerunner as he barrels along ledges and jumps from rooftops, desperate to escape pursuing Zombies. The Zombies in question are obviously not the normal dolt-head horrors, incapable of more than a brisk walk, but the game's super-fast, super-deadly, wall-climbing Virals. The action does get pretty dangerous with all the fast-moving on high buildings, but don't worry - these are seasoned professionals.
