A group of civilians are thrown together in a rural farmhouse in Pennsylvania when the dead walk. Besieged by Zombies, they are left with no choice other than to remain secluded in the house, hoping the situation will burn itself out.
This is probably the movie that gave Zombies their following. It is a true classic and while black and white, old and now outdated in terms of production values, I recommend it if just to discover where our love-affair with Zombies started. George A. Romero actually called the Zombies "Flesh-Eaters" and "Ghouls" when this movie was being produced, they were only renamed to Zombies later.
